What is Condition Surveying?
Understanding the condition of a property is fundamental for all property owners in order for them to adequately maintain the building condition and plan future maintenance to keep the property functioning.
People with an interest in the condition of a property may range from an individual with an interest in a single property to owners/investors of property portfolios or occupiers with an interest in maintaining the property in accordance with their lease. All will require a detailed assessment of the property assets condition to inform future spending and investment.
A condition survey gives visibility of future maintenance commitments that are likely.
Protecting history with future technology.
We feel that Laser scanning is the future of condition reporting for conservation areas and listed buildings. Organisations such as English Heritage and Historic Scotland in the UK have already embraced the technology and will continue to utilise it whenever possible.
Using both traditional and modern techniques, we produce high-quality floor plans tailored to your needs.
We can provide standalone sections or as part of a complete measured building survey to reveal a property’s interior structure.
Allow you to understand the design of your renovation or extension before construction begins.
How can a Condition Report help you?
A condition survey can form a standalone assessment of the physical condition of the property at a moment in time. However with the provision of some additional services and reviews it can be used to inform and produce:
- Due diligence/acquisition survey
- Reactive repairs and replacement
- Planned preventative maintenance report
- Statutory compliance review
- Lease documents
- Facet survey
