At SolidPoint we pride ourselves in being specialists in producing the existing phase of a Building Information Model from 3D laser Scanned point cloud data. This means that all of our Revit users are extremely efficient in creating content natively in Revit based on laser scan or point cloud data. Every project type we encounter has it's own standards and specifications that we adhere to. We achieve this by producing all of our own Revit Families and Revit content on a bespoke basis where necessary, working to varying levels of detail and tolerances that best suit the project. Where possible we build intelligence into our building information modelling which narrates model intent and allow for easy editing when working beyond the existing phase.

By analysing Point Clouds we are able to produce 3D existing survey models in Revit that are ready for further building information modelling. These can be produced to to any level of detail (LOD) required and we are more than capable of meeting the new government BIM standards and can easily surpass them when required.
Our Skilled Revit technicians can support your project by adding additional services remotely using BIM 360, we have all of our own collaboration for Revit licenses so can easily be added to your BIM 360 Project to lend that extra hand you need to get your Revit BIM project delivered on time to the level of detail required.
It is a common need that any new construction project has to consider the effects on the surrounding context. By utilising 3D laser scan survey data and building information modelling in Revit we are able to create a BIM ready model suitable for Rights to Light studies. We can export the model from Revit to other formats such as solid AutoCAD geometry (ACIS solids). This allows the Rights to Light surveyor to carve up the model as required.
Many of our clients use this as a starting point for the conceptual design stages, as it ensures the consistency of the information provided when continuing through to detail design and construction.
